Education Minister, Mr O’Dowd Visits Holy Trinity!

The Minister for Education, Mr John O’Dowd was at Holy Trinity today to formally present the school with their ICT Mark Award. He said “I am delighted to be here to congratulate you all on your hard work in achieving this prestigious ICT Mark award for the second time. The continued dedication of the whole school to computing and to the use of new technology in developing and progressing the curriculum is an example of best practice. As technology develops it is clear the pupils of Holy Trinity will be well equipped and may even create a future Candy Crush or Angry Birds.”

Mrs Boyd thanked everyone who helped in any way to prepare for the event and gave a special thank you to the children who read at the presentation- Niamh, Zara, Aaron and Odhran. She  thanked Mrs Rooney and Miss Harte the ICT Coordinators for their hard work in preparing the school for the award. She thanked Mrs Mc Kinney, Miss Donnelly and the choir and dancers for their beautiful singing and dancing. It was lovely to see our Board of Governors and parents also in attendance.
