Sing Out Project.

Mr Hackett’s and Mrs McAreavy’s classes both took part in the City of Belfast School of Music “Sing Out” project on Wednesday 16th November in St Genevieve’s High School. Mrs McBride came in for 8 weeks on a Wednesday morning to train the children in preparation for the performance.  On the night of the concert Mrs McCoy conducted the choir made up of ourselves and 4 other Primary schools from the area. There was music from the African drummers “A-Freek-A”, a trio called W3 and the Intermediate Band . It was a wonderful night of music and singing and the children thoroughly enjoyed the night. The Intermediate Band surprised us at the end with a familiar tune from Frozen!

Anti-Bullying Week 2016

This year Anti Bullying Week 2016 takes place between 14th-18th November and this year’s theme is ‘Together We Are Stronger’.

As a school we are thinking about:

What does it mean to have strength of character?” and  “How can we use our combined strength positively?”

There will be lots of activities going on in school so please ask your child about what they have been learning.
