Sports Day

Well done to all our children who took part in the Sports Days over the last couple of weeks. Thanks so much to everyone who helped in any way. A special word of thanks to Mr Mc Crory and Mrs Mc Laughlin who organised it all.

Good luck P7!

Our P7 Leavers mass is at 1:30 today in the church. Everyone welcome. We would like to take this opportunity to wish our P7 pupils good luck in their new school. They have been an asset, representing our school at many sporting, musical, educational and ICT events. We know that they will do well in whichever school they go and will be proud ambassadors for our school. The pupils have been involved in many events this year including the Hive Hackers project, Cinemagic, Professor Fluffy, Medics in Primary School, Internet Safety initiatives. They have added to our trophy cabinet by taking parting in football, hurling, camogie  and cross country tournaments. They have been Pupil Council representatives and Digital Leaders. We am very proud of you all and wish you all the very best in the future. Thanks also to parents for your continuous support throughout the past seven years.

Time To Code

Primary 5s had a great day yesterday at Commscope. Colleen Scott has been working with the school on the Time to Code project. Ciara Mulgrew from BITC set this up for the classes.

The children completed a 6 week programme on Scratch. We had great fun and thoroughly enjoyed the morning at Commscope working with real software designers!

One Day, One Mind.

Local primary schools and community organisations came together today with Belfast City Council to promote Mental Health Awareness. This was led by Lord Mayor Deirdre Hargey in Fall’s Park. Our Primary 5, 6 and 7 classes thoroughly enjoyed the morning.
